The UAB Blazers have an unusual situation as they get ready for the annual Battle for the Bones with Memphis this Saturday at Legion Field.

They have a two-game winning streak on the line and could be excused if perhaps they didn't know how to handle it.

"I think we're playing with a certain confidence level that you need in order to have success," said Garrick McGee. "You need to have confidence in yourself as an individual first, in the unit that you're playing on, and then in our team and in our program."

One reason for the winning streak was the improved play by the UAB defense.
