Coach Neil Callaway had a right to smile. He had just signed the best recruiting class in his tenure as UAB's football coach. His third class of recruits included seven junior college players already on campus, two others who will join the team in the summer or fall, and 14 high school seniors. Thirteen of the players came with three-star rankings by Rivals.com.
