Burks Narrows Choices to UAB, Auburn
Dan Burks, a 6-foot 1, 200 pound running back from Vestavia Hills has narrowed his choice of schools to UAB and Auburn. He has eliminated Alabama, Southern Miss, Mississippi and Vanderbilt.
Burks, who mentioned earlier that he feels UAB may be passing Alabama and Auburn, is said to be strongly considering UAB. UAB showed an early interest in Burks and was the first to offer him.

UAB has several things going in its favor. 1. UAB started recruiting Burks over a year ago, when few other schools were calling. 2. Coaches Watson Brown and Pat Sullivan. and 3. UAB's willingness to let Burks also play Baseball (something Auburn's current coaching staff has frowned upon in the past).
