Creighton Has Hot Second Half to Prevail, 77-60

UAB took a four point lead into the dressing room at halftime - and watched the 13th rated Creighton Bluejay's come roaring back to take a 77-60 win over the Blazers in Omaha. UAB led by ten with just over 17 minutes to play - but then went nearly four minutes without a score and allowed Creighton the opportunity to claw back in the game.
Josh Jones came off the bench to spark the Bluejay's win with 18 points, all coming in the final 16 minutes of the game. Gregory Echenigue had a monster game tallying 13 points and pulling down 16 rebounds for a double-double. Grant Gibbs also had 14 points to go along with six assists and Ethan Wragge also had 12 points off the bench.

Hoopy Jones also came off the bench to lead UAB scorers with 16 points. Jordan Swing and Rod Rucker both pitched in 12 apiece for the Blazers.
UAB had the hot hand in the first half connecting on 50% of their shots from the field - but cooled considerably in the second half and finished the night shooting 38% from the field and 40% from behind the line. The Blazers sank 80% from the foul line - but only got there five times. Creighton warmed up considerably from the field in the second half and finished the night connecting on 51% of their shots from the field and 37% of their treys. The Jay's hit on 76.5% of their 17 foul shots. Creighton had a 34-29 edge in rebounding.
