Recorded 100 tackles and eight interceptions at Orange Coast…In 2006 he was All-Missions Conference and a member of the California CC All-America team. Averaged 9.3 yards per punt return and 26.3 yards per kick-off return… Sat out last season…Was recruited by Hawaii, San Jose State, Oregon State, Utah, Ole Miss, Southern Miss, Minnesota and Louisville.

Played a year, sat out a year and played again in 2007…Had 85 tackles, eight tackles for a loss, six sacks, forced two fumbles and recovered two fumbles at Col-Lincoln…Helped lead his team to a second place finish in the MS CC league and a victory in the Sea Island Company Golden Island Bowl in 2007.

Hicks starred on offense and defense for the Lovett School…He was named to the 2007 Atlanta-Journal Constitution First Team All State and also named Offensive Player of the Year on the AJC's CityLife team…he had 20 tackles, one forced fumble and three interceptions…On offense he averaged 6.5 yards per carry gaining 851 yards and scored 11 touchdowns…His team made the play-offs the last three years going to the second round in 2005, the semi finals in 2006 and the 2 AA state finals in 2007.

Started his college career at the University of Alabama in 2004 where as a true freshman he gained 200 yards on 53 carries, an average of 3.8 yards per carry and three receptions for 24 yards…At Copiah-Lincoln in 2006 he was the 25th most productive back in JUCO football rushing for 914 yards on 165 carries, an average of 5.5 yards per carry, he scored 24 touchdowns and caught 14 passes for 152 yards…At Thomasville he was named the 4-A Back of the Year by the Alabama Sports Writers Association and Player of the Year by the Montgomery Advertiser in two seasons he rushed for over 2,750 yards and scored 37 touchdowns, as a senior he had 224 yards receiving and as a junior he snagged three interceptions as a defensive back…He was listed as the # 26 player in the state by SuperPrep Magazine.

Currently enrolled at UAB and will go through spring practice…Began his college career at Louisiana-Monroe but did not play in any games…Started his JUCO career as a fullback rushing 26 times for 104 yards (4 yards per carry) and three touchdowns, he also caught six passes for 42 yards (7 yards per catch) and he was named to the All-SWJCFC First team…Switched to lb as a sophomore and ranked 27th in JUCO ranks in total tackles with 93 and had three sacks on his way to being named All-SWJCFC honorable mention…Finished High School at Arlington Grace Prep where his team were State Champions in 2003 and Runner-Up in 2004 for Division II of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
